failed!!!!!

it was because of my fickle nature may be that even after gearing up with such a big incentives few days ago...i could not make myself resplendent..
may be this phase was out of order due to the lack of plan or may be coz of my stupidity ..whatever it may be..who cares...i do ..i sometimes care for myself...
and hence i have decided to write this blog before i completed my works....
because now the demanding rate has increased and now the multiplication factor needs to be increased from 2 to 3 may be 2.5 ...let's see
but this time i wont give up that easy...i dont swear ..i challenge it to myself...
so now 2 is not 4 for me
2 is 6 and 24 is 72 and here i go forth to the melancholic journey of life
where things could be done simply but without taste ......i refuse !!!
so i make it difficult and then i achieve them with the feel of satisfaction and delight in every bite ...
so i wil return to it on 26th without any fail..and then i will explain the mou of my self created silvrlife......

time

i feel different today..
today iam not afraid of any1..normally i always keep worrying..but toady i have got a feeling that i can do anything i want to do...i feel different...i have always realized the potential that from time to time keeps me asking to go against the tide of time and do what is unachievable and to revolt and break all the rules and make my own rules..but when i start doing my job i feel helpless and i fail at every single step and find myself so incompetetent that it takes me back to a negative state of mind...i feel lost when i m there ...it haunts me all the time and make me weak ...it has degraded me ..may be if one tries on something that is not something what he can reLLY do then he ends up failing ....but today i have got a feeling that i can do whatever i want doesn't matter what field it is ,......i believe that anyone can be einstien any one can cretae music of kind that beetho composed and anyone can win a chess championship like anand does...anyone can do anything...but in that manner i myself get struck in doing smallest of acts...but today i feel different
today i feel i can...
time i named this post is only because it comes in between success and failuyre..
i can be a chess champion but i need time a lot of time to develop myself as a champion....i have to work continiously on it and who knows it may take whole life and then i become the champ...thats what stops me from any idea that could take me to any such height....so what should i do...
i have herby decided to multiply my time and then see what i can do
to complete webster dictionary if someone daily got up in the morning at 4 o clock and did it for 35 years then why not i i similar fashion sacrifice my sleep and introduce a new boundry ..or may be erase the boundaries of time...i will make 2 from one and four from two....24 hours will be 48 for me and 48 will be 96...i will take it on sake of my joy health and prosperity to get what i want... i feel different ...and i will do it ...whta may be the reason..but i dont want a normal life of swearing things and not doing it....i will now revolt....and if i loose anything in process i dont care....
i will do it and write my blogs after 21 days from today
this fre will either light me for success or burn me to death .....
i swear and i ....................

my dream

Where the mountains touch the sky

Where poets DREAM, where eagles fly

A secret place above the crowds

Just beneath marshmallow clouds

Lift your eyes to a snowy peak

And see the soon- to- be we seek

Whisper DREAMS and let them rise

To the mountains old and wise

Climbers climb, it's time to try

Where the mountains touch the sky

Take me there. Oh take me now

Someway, Someday, Somewhere, Somehow

Where the ocean meets the sky

Where mermaid dance and seagulls fly

A place in DREAMS I know so well

The sea inside a single shell

Far across the living sea

A pale blue possibility

Beyond the castles made of sand

Tomorrow in a small child's hand

Only DREAMERS need apply

Where the ocean meets the sky

Take me there. Oh take me now

Someway, Someday, Somewhere, Somehow

Where the forests reach the sky

Men are equal and doves still fly

No thorns of war, a perfect rose

This is where the green grass grows

Out beyond the crystal stream

Like Dr. King I have a DREAM

Imagine such a goal in sight

For red and yellow, black and white

Whisper now, let the DREAM begin

It's time to trust the truth within

This is where we seek and find

A gift in being colorblind

Dream on Dreamers, hopes are high

Where the forests reach the sky

Take me there. Oh take me now

Someway, Someday, Somewhere, Somehow

Now, listen close, the future calls

"Build your bridges and tear down walls! "

For time has taught and so it seems

Realities are born of DREAMS

Broken Heart

I will never forget the days we once had
The days when you were everything to me
My mind used to tell me we'd be together forever
But now I realize that was all a big dream
The feelings I have for you will never go
I wish I could take back that one regretful day
The day when I willingly let you slide from my arms
Never did I think of the astonishing pain of regrets
That I would once have to live through
The sight of you in someone else's arms
Makes my heart shatter into a million pieces
I sometimes wonder if you still think of me
Or if to you, I'm just a face in the crowd
I wish so very much that one day we can have it all back
But for now, I'll sit here silently
Remembering all the memories we once shared
Everyday my love grows much stronger
Hoping that one day you will feel the same
And put back the pieces of my broken heart.

Loneliness

It is cold today
Indeed the rain is falling and I am alone.
Thoughts of life and love,
meaningless to anyone but myself.
I am alone.
They watch me, their eyes not knowing,
knowing nothing of what they see.
I am but another creature, alone.
They scurry on the surface, unaware,
unaware of the life below
when you are alone.

Loneliness, not a burden nor a sorrow,
but a time of solace, of deepness
never to be shared, never to be understood.
They can never reach the place where I am
And I know I will never reach the place where they are.
I know I don't want to reach that place.
True happiness is here, unmisted.
Unmisted by smiles or laughter,
unmisted by the joys of company.

To find true happiness,
to know if one is truly happy,
he must be happy alone.

by Rebecca Drollinger

He Sits Alone

He sits there alone daily
Just wishing for someone
To take the time from their busy day
But night falls and there are none.

Time goes by so very slowly
For he goes through another day
Because he's old and feeble
Is this the price he must pay?

To die here all alone
Without his loved ones near
I can't imagine what he thinks
As he wipes away his tears.

He worked so hard all of his life
To have a few things to call his own
Now he's sitting in a wheelchair
In a far off nursing home.

Thinking about the old days
And finding himself living there
Because the life he has now
Is just to much for him to bare.

If only he could see them
The loved ones he holds so dear
If only he could feel their touch
Their voices he could hear.

His life would be complete then
He may not be afraid to say goodbye
But he fears deep inside his heart
In this nursing home he will die.

Our loved ones go by so quickly
And tomorrow he may be gone
Someday it may be you....sitting
In a far off nursing home.

My Crush

I have these feelings, deep inside
feelings that I have to hide
I don't know if he feels that way too
And I don't know what to do
When we're together, I feel uptight
When he's around I feel so right
I dream about what we can do
And all the things we can pursue
I yearn just to feel his touch
And when he leaves, I miss him so much
I want to feel his lips against mine
And feel our bodies intertwine
So for now I'll love him from afar
One day I'll express how special you are
So until then I will retain this rush
And until then I'll contain my crush.

New Life

I've been sitting around this life for years,
Not enough laughs and too many tears.
Trying to figure out where it all went,
These wasted years that I have spent.

Searching for something to go beyond,
Life's a stone skipping across a pond.
At the last skip, it hits with a splash,
Down the stone sinks, gone in a flash.

Pushing and pulling, it's tearing apart,
Poking and prodding an underused heart.
This dark velvet curtain that hides my soul,
Living this life has taken it's toll.

In a flash of bright light, the curtain is torn,
Tumbling down all tattered and worn.
Revealing new life, a child within,
Born free of hate, of suffering and sin.

Now my eyes see what has never been told,
Striving forth happy, confident and bold.
Into a world that's unfamiliar but friendly,
Into this new life my spirit will send me.

Living and laughing, loving it all,
I stood myself up and answered the call.
The darkness has gone, replaced by the light,
I gave up the darkness with hardly a fight.

I've been sitting around this life for years,
With laughter aplenty and hardly a tear.
Now I can see just where it all went,
Cherish every moment of this new life I've spent.

A Shattered Dream

A heart broke
By the sad word goodbye
It's hard to believe
One word can make so many cry

A loss too many
A team fallen apart
Can one bad play
Really break so many hearts

A different religion
A different race
Why can't we
See the hurt on their face

A broken heart
A divided team
A cry for help
A shattered dream.

I Love

I love to see you smile
And I love knowing that I caused that smile
I love to see you happy
And I love knowing that I caused that happiness

I love to look into your beautiful eyes
And I love the way I fall into them
I love it when you hold my hand
And I love having the courage to grab and hold yours

I love to tease and torment you
And I love it when you tease and torment me
I love it when you touch me
And I love to touch you

I love rediscovering how beautiful you are each time I see you
And I love realizing how attractive you make me feel
I love wanting so badly to kiss you
And I love the way you want to take things slow

I love the fact that you still want to be my friend
And I love that I want to be yours
I love so many things about you
But the most important thing is:
I Love you!

No More Tears To Cry

a year and a half
since that cold day in January
yet I still remember it like it was yesterday
(I guess to me it always will be )

rain poured down as if it desperately needed to rid itself of all moisture
as if the clouds felt that they had to ring out all the water that night

that very night
or else the world would come to a drastic end

to me that "end" seemed to come anyway

the streets were pools of water
cars spinning out of control
she never had a chance to grow up

fifteen
she was merely fifteen

too young to experience life on her own
yet too old to have it spoon-fed to her

she wanted to be independent
a rebel
she wanted to say that she had done it without her parents ever knowing
but they found out

2:00 AM
knock on the door
"I'm sorry ma'am"
was the first words out of his mouth
"your daughter was killed tonight in a car accident"
the world came to a halting stop and yet the room still managed to
continue to spin

"you don't know what you are talking about"
"my baby . . . my baby, she's upstairs sleeping"

frantically she ran up the stairs
she was gone
no where to be found

its over

she was identified

it was really her

a best friend to so many . . . her life stolen away

I heard the next day

full of disbelief I acted as if I never heard the words

"lies . . . our school is so full of lies . . . its only a nasty rumor, you know how
that is"
was my reply to the news that soon became a reality to me shortly after

I saw her

lying . . . still
no movement
although I could have sworn that at any moment she was just going to rise
up out of the baby blue bed that she rested in and bring peace to a room
full of grief

it didn't even look like her

it wasn't her

too long I glared at her
questions running through my mind like a freight train at a speed to fast
to comprehend

"God, she was just a child. How could a life so young, be stolen so
quickly? "

no reply

I got infuriated with Him
she was a good kid
just made a few bad choices
I never thought they were severe enough to be punishable by death

the next day
as I witnessed the casket that held the breathless
body of my dear friend
be lowered into the earth

tears poured down my cheeks like rain out of heaven

it was so cold that day
I could feel the salty droplets dry hard on my
face

fifteen degrees

I wondered for so long about the life of my friend
I pondered this question so many times

why shall the innocent die, while the murderers run free?

how come she never got to fulfill the "perfect"
plan that we are all promised?

it has taken me this year and a half to understand the loss of my friend
it has taken me this long to realize that her
plan was played out

it is all summed up in this one word that often brings shutters to the
bones of so many

"lessons"

her death was a lesson to all that she left behind life is fragile
there is no way that we can control who lives and dies
all we can do is have faith that we will get through it

good and bad are obvious and sometimes not so obvious

right and wrong choices can determine life or death

so it's time for us to wake up
mourn no more
for time will heal our broken hearts

and one day
there will be no more tears to cry

Tomorrow

Tomorrow smile at someone
That you've never seen before.
Take time to think of others that
You feel compassion for.

Tomorrow tell somebody
How they brighten up your day.
Let random acts of kindness
Put your feelings on display.

Tomorrow hug your children
Somewhat tighter than before.
Be sure to think of all the things
You can be thankful for.

Pat your dog a little longer.
Hug and kiss your husband/wife.
Thank your God for granting you
Another day of life.

Difference

There is a part of me
That feels I am different from everyone else.
Something that I can't quite see,
Something that I can't quite feel,
Something so unreal.
But this 'thing' is always there,
This 'thing' with others, I will never share.
So I push it to the back of my mind,
All the thoughts of boys and clothes
And make-up, it is hiding behind.
Sometimes, when I have almost forgotten,
It comes back with such ferocity,
Angry and unforgiving.
I feel so lost and sad,
Whatever caused this feeling
Must have been so horrible and bad.
A lost memory or something else,
I'll never know,
Whatever it is,
I know for sure,
I can never let this feeling show.

Because Of You

Ive been in darkness for so long just waiting for the light,
And now that you have come my way, my days dont seem like nights.

Im glad Im finally overcome my fear of the other side,
Thank you for showing me the way, by taking me on this ride.

Ive never really felt this way about a guy before,
Youve truly touched me deep inside, youve opened, unlocked, the door.

I know its nothing serious, but surly its a start,
Youve treated me so equally, I feel it in my heart.

And even if this does not work, Im glad Ive had this chance,
To see how great you truly are, even just for a glance.

We never know whatll come of this, it really just depends,
Im glad were taking the first step, were becoming better friends.

With you I never have to guess just how you really feel,
You talk to me about the facts and tell me whats the deal.

With you I feel so comfortable, like nothing can go wrong,
I get this tingly feeling inside, you sing to me like a song.

The fact that you are older, really did freak me out,
But you treat me like Im your age, now Im rid of all my doubts.

Im trying to live in the moment, by forgetting about the past,
And so far its been working, and its really been a blast.

So hopefully from this day forth, Ill know just what to do,
If ever I come across a guy, another guy like you.

The Mask

A mask of plastic happiness often covers her sadness
Her beliefs hidden from most
Afraid of, but willing to face the unknown
Wondering where her place is in this life
She has come close to sharing herself
Never completely revealing anything to anyone
Feelings of invisible chains corner her
When she dreams, reality shatters before her very eyes
Accomplishments she strives for just at hands grasp
She feels lost sometimes, not yet finding her notch in this world
At times the glimmer in her calm eyes slowly disappears
But within her heart a silent flame burns her inside and out
She roams day by day, playing roles
Strength unknowingly resides in her
History repeats itself once again
The translucent veil she so proudly wears
Little by little answers will come, pushing it aside
One day there will be no more mask for her to wear
One day her beliefs will be known
One day she'll know her place in this life
One day she will share herself
ONE DAY this mask will be NO MORE

Not In Her Storm

I see the clouds rolling in and oh how it looks like rain
And it is always I fight for the welcome change
When it rains it pours on this heart of mine
So, I take the storms I feel to her each time.

But I know she has lived under her own pouring rain
Yet under her water her heart still doesn't change
She can walk away from what hangs overhead
And, not in her storm, are words left unsaid.

Not in her storm have I ever felt alone
Her storm ends, so I, may find my way home
It's for me that she pushes away her own rain
So, that I may find comfort in calling her name.

She lives in this world for the sake of another's heart
God, how she eases the miles when worlds apart
And she never wanders when your world falls through
Not ever in her storm would she do this to you.

She has wings that I know not only I can see
Cause only an angel could find strength to carry me
It's the way that the eyes can surely view
How her heart's written so clearly in what an angel can do.

Not in her storm is her work ever done
And even in her storm she hands me the sun
When her world is dark - I always have light
And now how I hold the new color of night.

She takes then she gives to an unhappy face
So that many can find an awesome place
I have been able to love her more every day
And with her hand in mine the clouds roll away.

Not in any storm that I will ever live beneath
Could ever change what I hold here inside of me
Not in any of her storms have I lost my angels touch
To that angel out there, I love her so much.

Until we meet

My nights will be a little colder
My days a little shorter
My heart will beat a little less rapid
Until we meet
I know that my arms will be empty
My mind hurting from the constant thought of you
Minutes will seem to be hours
Hours will seem to be months
While months will seem like eternity
Until we meet
The stars in the sky will not affect me
with its gleaming sparkles of life

Until I am gazing at them in your arms
And the food that I eat will not be as fulfilling and nourishing
Until it is you that I share the my food with
And Until we meet
I will not feel whole
My world will seem incomplete
Until that wonderful day
When our eyes make first contact
And our bodies and souls collide in blissful whirlwind
The words will roll off my tongue like a sweet love song
"Hello, my love, I couldn't wait to meet you."

Standing Alone

I can see the flower upon which my life grows, blooming into a rose.

See the hope and courage in the strength of the petals.
As long as I am, I will be.
The flower will never wilt or die.
As my life grows back, I shall become strong.
I shall become only dependent on one.
That one will be me.
I will rise with my petals high.
My life as a flower will bloom and prosper as I grow.
I may not be the pick of the patch, but I am just as beautiful as the rest.

I will stand as one, but not a lonely soul.
The tears will be far from my smile.

From Friends To Lovers

Sometimes I feel sad and sometimes I feel blue
but whenever I see you, I'm as happy as can be
for you bring a smile upon my face
and a feeling of joy within my heart
you're like my sunshine in the morning
and my stars that glow at night
you're like the waves in the ocean
the cool breeze in the wind
like the call of the birds in the morning dew
like the sounds of beauty in the night
you see all of these things are of beauty and love
that's how I feel whenever you are near
for it was the passion and desire from both of us
that opened up the world for our eyes to see
for our love of each other will grow and grow
and our needs and desires will be more everyday
for a friend you once were and will always be
has turned into love as it should have been
so I want you to know as a friend and lover
that in my heart and arms you'll always stay
for our love for each other will never fade.

BAIL OUT PACKAGES

BREAKING NEWS - $17.4 billion bailout package approved for GM & Chrysler
February 04, 2009

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — President Bush announced a rescue plan for General Motors and Chrysler LLC Friday morning that will make $13.4 billion in federal loans available almost immediately.

A senior administration official briefing reporters said he expects that GM (, ) and Chrysler LLC will be signing the loan papers to access the cash later Friday morning.

The money will come from the $700 billion fund set aside to bailout Wall Street firms and banks in October.

With these loans, Treasury will have committed virtually all of the $350 billion of that fund that it can hand out without additional authorization from Congress. Once Congress releases the other $350 billion, the two automakers will be able to borrow an additional $4 billion.

The loans are three-year loans but the money will have to be repaid immediately if the firms do not show themselves to be viable by March 31. It is expected that the companies will have to negotiate new agreements with unions and creditors in order to do so.

During brief remarks at the White House, President Bush said in normal times he would have not been in favor of preventing a bankruptcy of the two companies. But the current state of the economy and credit markets left him no choice but to act.

"Government has a responsibility to safeguard the broader health and stability of our economy," he said. "If we were to allow the free market to take its course now, it would almost certainly lead to disorderly bankruptcy and liquidation for the automakers."

"In the midst of a financial crisis and a recession, allowing the U.S. auto industry to collapse is not a responsible course of action," Bush added.
GM and Chrysler immediately issued statements thanking the administration for taking action.

"We know we have much work in front of us to accomplish our plan," GM said. "We thank the Administration for this important support of our industry at this challenging time, and we look forward to proving what American ingenuity can achieve."

The White House and Treasury Department signaled a week ago that they were willing to use cash from the bank bailout fund to help keep GM and Chrysler afloat after the Senate failed to vote for a $14 billion bailout for the two companies. The bill had already passed the House and had the support of the administration.

GM (, ) has warned it will fall below the minimum amount of cash it needs to continue to operate without $4 billion in federal loans before the end of the month. Privately held Chrysler said it will need $4 billion or it will also run out of cash early next year.

Ford Motor (, ) has more cash on hand and has said it should be able to avoid tapping into federal dollars unless the weak auto sales continue longer than it expects in 2009.

U.S. auto sales plunged to 26-year lows last month as tight credit, rising job losses and weak consumer confidence have led to a virtual collapse in the auto market.

All of the major automakers, including Asian automakers Toyota Motor () and Honda Motor (), are cutting back production. But the situation is particularly severe at GM and Chrysler.

In the last week, those two automakers announced shutdowns of assembly lines for at least a month, several weeks longer than the typical shutdowns during the December holiday season

Hmm….not sure how I feel about that. I really hope that the gov’t stands behind it’s demand that the companies be financially viable by 3/31, but I honestly won’t be surprised if that doesn’t happen.

I’d guess the assumption that they’d get some sort of bailout was already factored in.
There’s some bigger news though…..

Paulson Urges Release of Next $350 Billion From TARP

This oughtta be interesting since Dems said they would refuse to release more funds until they had more complete audits of what banks did with the first batch.
back to the bailout, I fail to see what this is going to do or how it’s going to help. This money is going to go directly into their cash burn and they won’t fix any of the things that need to be addressed immediately because they are legally bound to most of the things that have put them in this situation.
Congress is giving money like candy.

BAIL ME OUT!!!!

I tend to agree. I think the only good thing in this mess is that they’ll get some stake in the companies… so long as they use that to try to swing the companies to make better automobiles.
There’s some bigger news though…..

Paulson Urges Release of Next $350 Billion From TARP

This oughtta be interesting since Dems said they would refuse to release more funds until they had more complete audits of what banks did with the first batch.

Yep. To me it sends them a message of "it’s OK to run your companies shittily, we’ll save you because you’re too big/important to let fail. Don’t worry about your unprofitability, we’ll save you".

I really hope the gov’t takes a hard line when they’re back on Capitol Hill next March talking about how they need more time, and more money, to turn things around.

Big mistakey?

it’s a tarp!

Well, you’d think those legally bound expenditures would’ve already been accounted and allocated well in advance from some other type of fund. Then again this is Detroit we’re talking about.

How is it a good thing that our government is now in the business of partially owning private companies?

Well it’s all crap. But a positive of it is that the government gets a stake. If we’re going to loan them $17Bil we should get something back in return as well as some say in the direction that this companies are heading in.

I’m eagerly awaiting the release of the Chevy Comrade SS.

I have a little new found respect for Ford backing out of this thing, and I am sincerely concerned about where our government appears to be taking us.

Just consider this for a minute:

They will have stakes in all of the largest financial institutions, banks, insurance companies, your mortgage company, and now your only manufacturing base left.

Meh, sounds to me like they have us coming and going.

Say you decide to be a third party candidate and challenge the two parties, and you win. Now your in office and trying to do what you said to get elected, when all of a sudden you get a notice that your house is getting taken away, your credit card is canceled, and your car just up and shut off.

Tinfoil I know, but hey man..
Wall st = 50 billion.

Detroit and the rest of Main st = 650 billion.
That’s the right way around.
Giving money to Wall st won’t get America back to work, and return it’s industrial strength.
This will.
Start building new airports, shipping ports, railways, mass transit, schools, hospitals, clean energy power plants, ships, refineries, drill for oil, highways and bridges.
The list can be added to as economic benefits flow through.
So far the banks have started sharing the money given them, by paying bonus’s and paying a return to investors on shored up, bad or over leveraged and over priced investments, which are detrimental to the economy.
Now they want more taxpayers money.
Between The Lines: President Bush’s Bailout Defense

By Robert Farago
December 20, 2008

President Bush’s radio address this morning: “Good morning. For years, America’s automakers have faced serious challenges — burdensome costs, a shrinking share of the market, and declining profits. In recent months, the global financial crisis has made these challenges even more severe. Now some U.S. auto executives say that their companies are nearing collapse — and that the only way they can buy time to restructure is with help from the Federal government.

I’m not going to name names. I’m not going to lay blame. I’m just trying to clear my name.

This is a difficult situation that involves fundamental questions about government’s proper role. On the one hand, government has a responsibility not to undermine the private enterprise system. On the other hand, government has a responsibility to safeguard the broader health and stability of our economy.

I’m sacrificing A for B.

Addressing the challenges in the auto industry requires us to balance these two responsibilities. If we were to allow the free market to take its course now, it would almost certainly lead to disorderly bankruptcy and liquidation for the automakers. Under ordinary economic circumstances, I would say this is the price that failed companies must pay — and I would not favor intervening to prevent automakers from going out of business.

I don’t favor intervening in free markets unless I do.

But these are not ordinary circumstances. In the midst of a financial crisis and a recession, allowing the U.S. auto industry to collapse is not a responsible course of action. The question is how we can best give it a chance to succeed. Some argue the wisest path is to allow the auto companies to reorganize through Chapter 11 provisions of our bankruptcy laws — and provide a Federal loan to keep them operating while they try to restructure. But given the current state of the auto industry, my economic advisors believe that bankruptcy could now lead to its disorderly collapse — sending our economy into a deeper and longer recession.

A government-aided Chapter 11 is the right thing to do. But we’re not going to do it.

A more responsible option is to give auto companies an incentive to restructure outside of bankruptcy — and a brief window in which to do it. My Administration proposed legislation to achieve this, but Congress was unable to get a bill to my desk before adjourning for the year. This means the only way to stave off a collapse of the auto industry is for the executive branch to step in. So yesterday, I announced that the Federal government will grant loans to auto companies, which will provide help to them in two ways.

This is Barack Obama’s problem now.

First, the loans will give automakers three months to put in place plans to restructure into viable companies — which we believe they are capable of doing. Second, if restructuring cannot be accomplished outside of bankruptcy, the loans will provide time for companies to make the legal and financial preparations necessary for an orderly Chapter 11 process that offers a better prospect of long-term success.

We believe GM and Chrysler can do what they say they’re going to do– minus the bits they say they’re going to do. But I can’t say that. Because if I did, I would be saying I don’t believe them. Which would mean this bailout makes no sense whatsoever. Anyway, like I said, this is Barack Obama’s problem now.

The terms of the loans will require the auto companies to demonstrate how they would become viable. They must pay back all their loans to the government, and show that their firms can earn a profit and achieve a positive net worth. This restructuring will require meaningful concessions from all involved in the auto industry — management, labor unions, creditors, bondholders, dealers, and suppliers. If a company fails to come up with a viable plan by March 31st, it will be required to repay its Federal loans. Taken together, these conditions send a clear message to everyone involved in American automakers: The time to make the hard decisions to become viable is now — or the only option will be bankruptcy.

Chrysler and GM must pay back the federal loans because that’s what a loan is: something you pay back. Actually, fuck it. If they can’t repay the money, they can declare bankruptcy. At that point, no one’s going to care about a measly $17.4b.

The actions I’m taking represent a step that we all wish were not necessary. But given the situation, it is the most effective and responsible way to address this challenge facing our Nation. By giving the auto companies a chance to restructure, we will shield the American people from a harsh economic blow at a vulnerable time. And we will give American workers an opportunity to show the world once again that they can meet challenges with ingenuity and determination, and emerge stronger than before.

Brain and Limb Characters of the Gorilla

by Professor Owen

Professor Owen premised that the cast which he exhibited was not that of the brain of the gorilla, but of the interior of the skull of an adult male of that ape; it, therefore, presented a slightly exaggerated view of the size of that organ; but the proportions of the cerebrum to the cerebellum, and the size and general disposition of the convolutions of the cerebrum, were shown. He contrasted with it the cast of the brain of a man, from the museum of Professor Clark, taken after the brain had been hardened for the purpose, and stripped of its coverings; it, therefore, showed some contraction of size; but the cerebrum and cerebellum being equally condensed, their relative proportions were preserved. The brain of the highest known ape showed no increase of the relative extent of cerebrum over cerebellum beyond that of the small South American monkeys. The cerebrum extended over the cerebellum, not beyond it. He then contrasted the sudden and great development of the cerebral organ presented by a man of the lower order; great increase in absolute size; still greater superiority in relative size to the bulk and weight of the body; the gorilla having the trunk, and head, and upper limbs of a giant, supported on dwarfed, but powerful grasping legs. This evidence of the cerebral organ in the largest and most anthropoid of the anthropoid apes was alone wanting to test the validity of the zoological character of the group represented by man, as given in the author's Classification of Mammalia. Professor Owen then pointed out the close and gradual transition in the Quadrumanous series, from the gorilla's brain to that of the smooth and unconvoluted cerebrum of the marmoset, such simplification of the cerebrum being unaccompanied by difference of its relative horizontal extent to the cerebellum; and he noticed the intermediate exceptions, where, as in the maimon baboon, through the restricted development of the cerebellum, the smooth, unconvoluted posterior part of the cerebrum, even extended beyond the cerebellum,–an exception of that kind, like the long nose of the Semnopithecus nasicus, which serves to prove the rule. Passing on to the Lemurine series, he showed how the still descending cerebral organ graduated into that of the ordinary Feline. The sudden advance of so supremely important an organ as the brain, in the human race, and the marked hiatus between the highest grade of its structure and the next step below, attained by the orangs, chimpanzees, and gorillas, was one of the most extraordinary in the whole range of Comparative Anatomy. It was associated with the intellectual capacities, the power of framing general propositions, and of expressing thought in articulate speech. Parallel with this series, and with a like sudden and great interval between the highest ape and man, was the progression of the modifications of the foot, which were traced up from the Carnivora, though Galeopithecus, the aye-aye, and other lemurs, the platyrrhine and catarhine Quadrumana, up to man. The bones of the foot of the gorilla were contrasted with those in the human subject; the progressive strengthening of the inner toe served only to make the foot a more powerful grasping hand. Not until we arrived at man did that digit present such proportions and position, associated with correlative modifications of all the other bones of the foot, as to change a "hand" into the organ mainly contributory to the erect position, and to justify the innermost being called "hallux," or great toe, for the purpose of succinctly defining the characters of the group, just as the relative position of the hind part of the cerebrum to the subjacent cerebellum affords the zoologist a convenient and precise definition of the posterior cerebral lobe, which human anatomists had failed to find in the structure of the cerebrum itself. The purpose of the present contrast of the brain and foot of the gorillas with those organs in man was to ascertain their value as zoological characters. The grounds on which Baron Cuvier had assigned an ordinal value to the foot of man were briefly given, and the parallel argument was carried out in support of the higher value to be assigned to the differential character of the human brain. Professor Owen then briefly adverted to the chief objections which had been made to his order, Archencephala One was, that the difference of structure was greater between the highest and lowest quadrumanous brains, than between the former and that of man. But, admitting this, it might be as logically objected that there was a greater difference between the foot of the gorilla and the ventral fin of a fish, than between the former and the foot of man. The comparison which really concerned the question at issue was not between remote links in the zoological series, but between the nearest known gradations; and the difference between the gorilla and chimpanzee, in regard to brain and foot, on the one hand, and between the gorilla and the lowest variety of man on the other hand, was that with which zoology was concerned in the present classificatory discussion. A second objection was based upon, and derived its chief strength from, the arbitrary definitions and terms needed in zoological definitions. To the affirmation, that man alone had the hallux, or great toe, an emphatic denial was given, supported by a demonstration of the homologous bones in the hind thumb of the whole series of apes, and even in the short toe sustaining the "dew-claw" of the dog. But if the zoologist has been careful to define his "hallux," the value of such objection became patent. So with regard to the posterior lobe of the brain and its contained structures in man, if the zoologist, availing himself of those and other characters of the human brain, has been duly careful in his definition when availing himself of them for brief and concise zoological differentiations.

The Chairman moved a vote of thanks; and, calling for observations,

Professor Huxley, F.R.S., objected to the comparison of the cast of the cranial cavity of the gorilla with the cast of the brain itself of the man. He quoted Professor Wagner in support of the minor difference of size of brain, at least in a female, than was shown in the brains of the males of the two species compared. Quoting a diagnostic of cerebral characters of man, which he attributed to the author of the paper, he affirmed the incorrectness of assigning to the Quadrumana a cerebrum covering only two-thirds of the cerebellum. On the contrary, the cerebrum extended over the whole cerebellum in the Quadrumana, as low down in the order as the small squirrel monkeys of South America. He adduced the evidence of Dr. Rolleston, Mr. Flower, and Professor Vrolik, in proof of the existence of the posterior cornu and hippocampus minor in such posteriorly-extended part of the cerebrum of Quadrumana, and contended that the difference between man and the ape was psychical, not physical–was manifested by attributes of the mind, not by modifications of the body.

Professor Rolleston, F.R.S., rose to confirm his friend's assertion as to the internal structures in the posterior lobes of the quadrumanous brain. He objected to Professor Owen's diagnosis, that it was limited to characters derived from the back part of the cerebrum; whereas the more important difference between the human and simial brains were shown at the fore part. He reflected on Professor Owen for omitting this consideration; and especially for neglecting the more important grounds of comparison and differentiation afforded by the cerebral convolutions, the characters and homologies of which had been left to be elucidated by the labours of continental anatomists.

Mr. W. H. Flower gave a detailed summary of the various structures he had met with in the posterior part of the cerebrum, extending over the cerebellum, in the Quadrumana; showing in some a greater development of the posterior cornua and hippocampi minores than in the human brain. He specially cited the marmoset monkey as showing a cerebrum co-extensive behind with the cerebellum; and adduced the case of the baboons in which, as Professor Owen admitted, the cerebrum extended beyond the small cerebellum.

The Rev. Mr. Molesworth addressed the Section at some length, chiefly in refutation of Professor Huxley's assumption, that any powers of a living organism could be distinct from, and independent of, its organization; and contended that the superior psychical manifestations of the human species must be associated with concurrent modifications of his bodily frame and organs.

After some remarks from Dr. Humphrey, Professor Owen, in reply, repudiating the terms of the diagnosis of the archen cephalous type of brain ascribed to him, requested that a copy of his work "On the Classification and Geographical Distribution of Mammalia," might be sent for, meanwhile remarking that the ventricular extension in the quadrumanous brain, to which the anthropotomical terms, "posterior cornu" and "hippocampus minor," had been applied, being confessedly restricted to that part of the cerebrum overlying the cerebellum, did not affect or apply to that part of the human cerebrum, which he believed he had clearly and unmistakably defined in his diagnosis of man's cerebral characters. A copy of his work being handed in, Professor Owen first called attention to the figure of the unconvoluted brain of the marmoset monkey (p. 25, fig. 6) illustrating the character he had assigned to the quadrumanous brain in regard to the extension of the cerebrum over the cerebellum. So far from having ignored this structure, as charged upon him by his antagonists, he believed himself to have been the first to point it out, having described and figured the extension of the cerebrum over the whole of the cerebellum in Midas rufimanus, in a paper on Cerebral Anatomy, communicated to the Royal Society in 1836. Then, adverting to Dr. Rolleston's animadversions, Professor Owen read the terms of his diagnosis, as given at page 25 of his work:–"In man the brain presents an ascensive step in development, higher and more strongly marked than that by which the preceding sub-class was distinguished from the one below it. Not only do the cerebral hemispheres overlap the olfactory lobes and cerebellum, but they extend in advance of the one and further back than the other." Here the author remarked that it must be plain to every dispassionate and unprejudiced person, that the part of the cerebrum which man had in common with that which he had figured and described in Quadrumana, co-extensive, viz., with the cerebellum, was not propounded as the differential character of Archencephala, but only the further cerebral developments which were not shown by Quadrumana. Furthermore, that, so far from limiting his diagnostic character to the back part of the brain, he had set forth, and in the first place, the development of the fore part, in which the human cerebrum was peculiar, as "not only overlapping, but extending in advance of the olfactory lobes." With respect to the charge of having neglected the convolutional characters, Professor Owen next proceeded to quote from his diagnosis of the archencephalous brain:–"The superficial grey matter of the cerebrum, through the number and depth of the convolutions, attains its maximum in them."–(Op. cit., p. 26). It was true that he had not entered upon the extent to which the homologous convolutions could be traced in the human and inferior brains in the purely zoological communication which he had submitted to the Linnæan Society in 1857, and in the briefer compendium included in his "Reade's Lecture." (a) But he would ask Dr. Rolleston to refer to a Memoir on the Anatomy of the Felis jubata, communicated to the Zoological Society in 1833 (Zool. Trans., Vol. i, p. 133, pl. 20), in which he would find an early attempt to determine the homologies of the cerebral convolutions. Here they were distinguished into "principal" or "primary," and into those of the "second degree': and homologous ones, determinable in distinct species, were indicated by special letters, figures, and names. Professor Owen also appealed to Mr. Flower to look into the series of diagrams in the Royal College of Surgeons, for those illustrating the course of Lectures given by Professor Owen, when Hunterian Professor, "On the Comparative Anatomy of the Brain," in which the homologous primary convolutions in different orders of mammalia would be found to be distinguished by different colours. At that period, and prior to submitting his ideas on the classificatory value of the cerebral characters in mammalia, Professor Owen has been fully aware of the ventricular extensions in the supracerebellar part of the cerebrum, from the chimpanzee (Vrolik) down to the Lemurine Tarsius (Burmeister); but the assigning to mere fissures the high-sounding names applied by old anthropotomists to the well-marked structures in man, only verbally masked the real differences, and, as affecting the diagnosis which he had quoted, were quite beside the mark, since that part of the diagnosis referring to the back part or lobe of the brain, with its contained structures, was expressly restricted to the part of the cerebrum which extended, not merely over, but further back than the cerebellum. Professor Owen finally advocated to the absence of any comment on the direct purport of his present communication to the Section of Zoology, which had been the zoological significance or classificatory values to be attached to the differential characters of the foot and brain of man. Re-affirming the accuracy of Cuvier's estimate of the former, as indicative of the ordinal value of Bimana, Professor Owen inferred that "silence gave consent" to the higher estimate of the cerebral distinctions, which he had expressed by the sub-class Archencephala, and had now been able to illustrate by the brain of the gorilla.

N-DEAL

"Now it is for the US government to go to the Congress and make necessary amendments to the laws (for implementing the deal) and to approach the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) for working the deal," he said. India would also work with IAEA to workout the India-specific safeguards for its civilian nuclear facilities, he said.

"We have made a very satisfactory progress and I thank President Bush without whose initiative it would not have been possible," the Prime Minister said.

Endorsing the Prime Minister's remark on the nuclear deal, Bush said that "necessary" had been reached and he would work with the US Congress in this regard.

Describing his discussion with Bush as "very cordial and productive", Singh said they reached a joint statement, which underlines significant progress in the relationship between the two countries.

"Many of the areas now covers are central to India's national development. They include energy, agriculture, science and technology, trade, investment and high technology, health and environment", said the Prime Minister.

Singh also said a number of announcements and initiatives form part of the joint statement.

The Prime Minister said India and the US were working together increasingly on global issues, which was not only good for the two countries but the entire world.

Observing that he along with Bush reviewed the global situation during the talks, Singh said both countries have agreed to root out terrorism of which India has been a major victim.

In his remarks, Bush referred to sharing of common values and said that the two sides would work to combat terrorism, bring about the rule of law and make the world a safer place to live.

Describing India as one of its largest trading partners, he emphasised on enhancing of trade between the two countries and recalled the growing military ties between them. Bush also thanked the Prime Minister for the aid given to the US after the hurricane Katrina struck its coast.

The US President said the two countries stood for establishment of democracy worldwide.

President George W Bush and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh held talks cantered around the nuclear deal and a range of other issues with the US leader describing the parleys as "warm and constructive".

"We had warm and constructive talks. The talks are reflective of our result oriented relationship," Bush said after more than 100 minutes of one-on-one discussion with the Prime Minister and the delegation level talks at the Hyderabad House.

Bush gave his impressions about the talks at the opening of the discussions with CEOs forum immediately after parleys with Singh.

"We aim to achieve mutually beneficial goals and together we are working towards removing roadblocks," said the US President said.

In efforts to wrap up the pact, top Indian and American officials had met late on Wednesday night, to iron out any remaining differences.

Shortly after Bush's arrival, on a three-day visit, his National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley and Under Secretary of State Nicholas Burns held talks with their counterparts M K Narayanan and Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran. Prior to the meeting, Narayanan and Saran met for about an hour.

Officials of the two countries met at about 2145 hours and the meeting continued late into the night, sources said.

They were discussing the follow-up agreement on the July 18 deal on civilian nuclear cooperation reached during the visit of the Prime Minister to Washington. All officials, who are keen to wrap this up, were in touch even prior to the American entourage's arrival.

spine fusion technique

each year about 500,000 people undergo spine fusion surgery, which links togethers indivuals segments,or vertebrate, within the spine.

So many Americans are plagued by

back pain—from minor aches and pains to serious cases requiring surgery (and maybe even multiple spine surgeries).

As part of a normal news cycle, news programs such as The Today Show, Nightline, and 20/20 often feature new treatments for back and neck pain. For example, in early October 2008, NBC's Nightly News with Brian Williams did a series they called "Back Story." You can view one of the video segments here.

Maybe news programs want to highlight cutting edge research or share the story of someone who overcame back pain with surgery / acupuncture / exercise / chiropractic / a radical new diet. Whatever their reason for doing a segment on back pain and spine treatments, news programs generally give a good introduction to the complexities of back pain.

The key word there, of course, is introduction. After seeing a back pain segment on Nightly News or any other news program, you should do some follow-up research if you're interested in it.

Before talking to your doctor about the latest back pain treatment, make sure you know what you're talking about: Is it really a good option for you? Has it been approved by the FDA? Have there been clinical trials done?

Finding answers to those questions will help you be an empowered patient, fully knowledgeable about your condition and treatment options.

india, pak to begin talks on terror today

Pakistan's pm national and security adviser Mahmud ali durrani
and Manmohan Singh will begin the talk after a lot of nolens volens to find out a solution of problem which seems to be indeterminate in nature from past so many years.
yet another attempt...

and the heart of the matter will be the most beautiful part of India Kashmir.
further there are speculations that "water " issue may be one of the contents of the discussion. Pakistan is concerned that India will block the water to its agrarian hub in Punjab.

lets wait and watch what will be going on inside Manmohan's mind .till now his government is believed competent to deal with the problem.
rightly, we have been convinced that Pakistan's hostility towards India has appeased
to a great extent and the terror has also significantly reduced from our mind.
but will it be right to attribute all the credits to Manmohan's kingdom or we must see the factors like us pressure and financial crisis that Pakistan is facing.
doesn't matter.
what we as a citizen expect from our government expect is that it should keep us happy and content.
well our focus will now be to concentrate on the talk that will begin today and hopely bring some effective results this time

latest mobile technology

From the heavy cordless phones of the 1980's to the smart phones of today, cellular phone technology has undergone a tremendous change.

But have you ever wondered how you can call someone across the world using a tiny phone? You might have heard of features like WAP and GPRS from cell phone vendors and service providers. But are you aware of what they really mean?

here at www.sillvrtheme.blogspot.com

and
www.alc2005.com
www.purebinary.com

we provide you all info that needs to be known.

So next time you go to buy a phone, you know exactly what suits your demand.

Generations of mobile communications

The first generation (1G) of mobile communications was introduced in the late 1970s; it was primarily used for voice transfer. In the early 1990s, second generation (2G) systems came into existence and was further developed to 2.5G, which includes GSM, TDMA and CDMA. These were used for voice and data.

The next generation of mobile communications is 3G and this delivers data speeds from 384 kbps to 2 Mbps and over wireless interfaces such as GSM, TDMA and CDMA.

Mobile phone access technologies

Frequency division multiple access (FDMA)
The first-generation analog mobile access method; FDMA uses separate frequencies for each call. For example if there are four stations, each will receive their own frequency. Thus there is no interference between them. This reduces interference, but limits the number of users.

Time division multiple access (TDMA)
TDMA allocates unique time slots to each user within each channel, thus allowing many users to access the radio frequency without anyone's interference. Each mobile conversation uses only a particular frequency slot of the time.

Code division multiple access (CDMA)
Commercially introduced in 1995 by Qualcomm, CDMA quickly became one of the world's fastest-growing wireless technologies. 3G CDMA networks provide more capacity for voice traffic, along with high-speed data capabilities, hence many cellular service providers are now building or upgrading to it.

CDMA is used in both 2G and 3G wireless technologies. Indian Cell operators like Reliance IndiaMobile, TATA Indicom, BSNL and MTNL's Garuda all use CDMA2000 technology and its variant CDMA1x.

Global system for mobile communications (GSM)
Developed on TDMA protocol in Europe, GSM is now the worldwide standard technology for mobile communications. The advantage of GSM is that it provides a high level of security, globally accepted technology standards and superior sound quality.

For any GSM phone to work, it requires a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM), a card that contains your telephone account information. Thus, an Indian GSM phone can be used in USA and other countries too.

Wireless technology platforms: GPRS, EDGE and WAP

What is GPRS?
GPRS, short for General Packet Radio Services, is an enhancement to GSM technology that integrates GSM and IP technology. GPRS offers an always-on, high speed connectivity to the Net. Thus you can check your email on the move and surf the Web at high speeds. Currently BPL Mobile and Hutch (Orange in Mumbai) offer GPRS services in India.
Faqs on GPRS

What is WAP?
In this hi-tech age, people on the move need any-time access to the Net. This is where WAP comes in. It provides Internet access to cell phones. It is an open standard for wireless protocols that is independent of the service providers. To display Web content, the cell phone must have a WAP browser. Nowadays, cell phones often come with WAP and GPRS technology.

WAP and GPRS also allows you to download games, send mail and even transfer your messages to your PC.

What is EDGE?
The new EDGE ((Enhanced Data GSM Environment) interface has been developed specifically to meet the bandwidth needs of 3G. Promoted by Ericsson, it offers high-speed data transfers over GSM networks with just a software upgrade to the handset.
